I still find them to be very entertaining, but lacking in many other areas. Upon the initial release of Bad Boys for Life, nearly 17 years since the release of Bad Boys II, I decided to revisit the previous two films. I enjoyed one and two for what they were, but I never felt the need to rewatch them over and over. That's not exactly what I believe, but there are some massive fans of these movies out there. While it didn't make a huge dent in the box office back in 1995, the first Bad Boys film is now revered by some as one of director Michael Bay's better films. The framework also provides a vastly simplified graphics model. Core Animation can automatically take advantage of a multi-core Mac because the layer tree is rendered on a separate thread. This, by the way, is part of the reason the iPhone UI is so incredibly fast on some relatively modest hardware. One element of it is the raw parallel processing power of modern graphics cards, and another is the fact that Core Animation can cache the contents of a CALayer on the card so that your code doesn't need to constantly redraw it. ![]() It probably wouldn't be practical to try the same with NSView instances. Let’s say you’re aiming for a mark whose trait should be “precision,” select a pointy font. When scrolling through font catalogs online, start with having a brand trait in mind that your font choice should also express. Every typeface has its own character-and finding the right type that has the personality you’d like to convey can be tedious. ![]() When leaving out logo symbols and going for a wordmark instead, focusing on the selection of the font is even more crucial. Examples of logotype design Get inspired by some of the best logo fonts For that reason, serif fonts require more attention when it comes to testing a logo in a multitude of environments. However, there are many applications when a logo needs to work well in small too for example, at the top left corner of a website, especially when viewed on a phone. Serif fonts are prone to lose their details when set small-the serifs (the little feet attached to the letter stems) disappear easily at a tiny font size. Sans serifs are a versatile choice that can work with a lot of different looks and are easy to read in many sizes, whereas serif fonts may lend a more classic and sophisticated feel to your brand. ![]() Is a sans-serif font better than a serif font? ![]() I didn't actually pop the hood and check the coolant, but in the search I read where those who had done so quickly verified that the coolant was indeed dangerously low. When I got in the X1 this morning the warning light was gone, but of course I still took it in. I saw some older posts where the OP followed up later to say the problems hadn't reoccurred. Some theorize that the coolant level wasn't "settled" in production, or something like that. Apparently it is not infrequent on newer BMWs in the first 10 to 20,000 miles. Mine's an sDrive, 2013 with 11,600 miles.īy the way, a quick search last night for "BMW coolant level warning" brought up a fair number of forum hits, for other models. They have my X1 now so I'll update later. I called Beverly Hills BMW and made an appointment for this morning. But I do think mentioning you smell a faint scent of coolant coming through the vents will get them to look a little harder, especially at the valley pan where it burns off without a visible trace unless they did in and look for the white powder.Yesterday as I got in my X1 after work, I got a "low coolant level" alert. For me it was a matter of the leak eventually rearing its ugly head. We all know these cars don't consume coolant in a short period of time. The problem is some dealers dismiss it as normal consumption, it is in the manual. I guarantee they won't if you tell them they didn't check the reservoir when you were there a month ago. Don't suggest issues or cast doubt that they looked at the coolant reservoir. Just ask the folks what could have caused the low coolant since you just had it in there a month ago. It's conceivable that a leak developed within the span of 1 month, especially if you live in a colder climate where the thermal expansion gradients are larger. Mine has the green coolant also, not the blue. My car has done this twice with just a tad over 13,000 miles on the odo. Just fill it up with bottled water and you're good to go until you can get it into them. But Dealerships like to play their game of "its normal". It's likely there is a hairline crack in the reservoir that is causing it. I've not had any issues getting the cap off since. They had it in stock and it was about $25, so do that. I swapped my cap out with a brand new one from BMW. Then they will "pressure test" the system and tell you nothing is wrong. The Dealer is going to tell you that its "normal" for these motors to burn coolant. I'm betting you can also smell coolant when you park in garage, etc. I had to use channel locks to get that damn cap off. Anyone have any thoughts on the best in-store antifreeze proxy/replacement to use for top-off? The more I read I was too nervous to take a chance and I kept seeing conflicting information. Anyway, I agree if it says it is low don’t assume it is a sensor, especially on a newer car. I’m definitely ordering some Valvoline or BMW HT-12 and keeping some in my car, I can’t believe they didn’t mention to me it needs it probably every 6 months and you can’t buy it! I’ll be speaking to them when I take it in for service next, what a fiasco. That only changes my 50/50 ratio to like 45/55 since it is a 9.25 quart system, so shouldn’t be an issue. 75 quarts to fill up, but I’ll need to drive some and check again. You cannot seem to find a Valvoline HT-12 replacement/proxy, and I’m not near a dealership to drop in and all European parts stores were closed all weekend, so I just added distilled water. The auto parts guys didn’t know, so I didn’t chance it. Online it does say green is backwards compatible with blue but then blue isn’t compatible with green but then I saw the reverse in other places. I see someone on here recommended the G48 Zerex coolant but (after hours at multiple auto parts stores) this is a blue coolant and BMW changed in 2018-current to the Valvoline HT-12 green coolant in their cars. Eventually got that off and realized it was below min, couldn’t even see the coolant. I had a HARD time getting the back/right high pressure engine coolant system cap off, (there are two caps as mentioned and the front one is the turbos) you really have to push down and turn hard. Left a message and no reply before they closed for the Holiday weekend. Called the dealership first, couldn’t reach anyone. I started the car today and no message, drove a bit then decided I better check. I had the same low coolant message yesterday. ![]() Excess sugar in your system can lead to higher blood pressure, diabetes, inflammation, fatty liver, and weight gain.
